ATTOCK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for provincial assembly constituency PP-2 Attock Syed Ijaz Boukhari has vowed to take part in general elections despite all challenges. “We will fully participate in the February 8 general elections because it is our legal and democratic right,” said Mr Ijaz while addressing an event organized by former Union Council Nazim Ghanzanfar Javaid to announce his and his voters support in upcoming general election. Former MPA Ijaz Boukhari in his address has said that PTI members were peaceful and patriotic citizens and had equal rights in this country. He feared false cases against the PTI members would invite a strong reaction. He said the PTI enjoyed the backing of most of the people and hoped its candidates would win the elections by a huge majority. He alleged that some people wanted to exclude the PTI from the electoral race but said such elements were mistaken, adding his party would participate in the elections, come what may. He said that it is the responsibility of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ensure free and fair elections in the country. He pleaded that transparent elections should be allowed to be held in Pakistan.
