RAWALPINDI: In a commendable display of valor, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi received accolades from General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at General Headquarters on Wednesday. ASP Shehrbano’s exemplary professionalism in diffusing a tense situation at Ichra Bazaar in Lahore on February 26, 2024, earned her praise from the COAS.
According to ISPR, General Munir lauded ASP Shehrbano’s selfless dedication to duty and her fearless approach in rescuing a woman amidst a challenging environment. He emphasized the significant contributions of Pakistani women across various domains, highlighting their talent, resilience, and commitment since the country’s independence. COAS reiterated the invaluable role women play in Pakistani society, emphasizing their respect within religious and social frameworks.
Furthermore, General Munir emphasized the importance of social harmony and urged for nationwide consensus on combating intolerance. He stressed the adherence to the rule of law and cautioned against resorting to vigilantism, advocating for the utilization of legal avenues to address grievances.
