Annual prize distribution ceremony of Sir Syed education foundation Hassan Abdal held

HASSAN ABDAL: Annual prize distribution ceremony of Sir Syed education foundation Hassanabdal was held on Tuesday. Director of Taaleem Foundation and member of the Governing Body of Sir Syed Memorial Society Hassan Raza Syed was chief guest while Former member national assembly Raja Amir Zaman has presided over the event. The event was a celebration of academic excellence, recognizing the hard work of the students who participated in various academic, curricular and co- curricular activities.

In his address, Director of Taaleem Foundation and member of the Governing Body of Sir Syed Memorial Society Hassan Raza Syed has stressed the students that excellence in science and technology key to success in modern era. He expressed these views while addressing annual prize distribution ceremony of Sir Syed Education Foundation at Hassanabdal on Tuesday.

Mr Hassan Raza Syed, for several years was based in Silicon Valley US and worked for Fairchild and Intel Corporations in technical and managerial positions, during this time was awarded a patent in 1977 for the invention of a unique IC transistor structure for “High Gain High Voltage Transistor for Linear Integrated Circuits”. Mr Raza has urged the youth to gain skill-based education, adopt emerging fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and neural networks to compete with the world. He urged the students to develop their skills, build their brains and excel in fields like information technology to meet the future challenges. He urged all the stakeholders to find an ‘out of the box solution’ to educate and impart skills to about 23 million out-of-school children in the country.

Former member national assembly Raja Amir Zaman in his address has urged the students to excel in modern sciences to carve out a niche for themselves and for their country in the community of nations. He urged the students to keep their curiosity alive, emphasizing that only innovators would survive in the long term.

Professor Tahir Durrani President, Sir Syed Education Foundation in his address has said that the foundation from last two decades is striving to improve the education system in this country and to provide opportunities for education to students besides human development in rural areas. He said that on behalf of Sir Syed Foundation, not only the students are given tickets for Umrah but also the teachers have also being send for Umrah. He announced that students who stand first in Attock district will be awarded Rs 0.1 million as cash prize. In his address, Director Sir Syed Education Foundation Qazi Zahoorul Haq highlighted the objectives of the foundation.

Later, Hasan Raza Syed also presented a check of Rs 2 million to Sir Syed Education Foundation of Pakistan for student scholarship. Key educational, political and social figures from across the region also participated in the event.
