Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, continues to actively ensure the best welfare of the families of police martyrs. As part of these efforts, IG Punjab has provided another police officer’s family, who laid down his life in the line of duty, with a personal residence. According to details, the family of Constable Zeeshan Khurram Shaheed has been given a house worth Rs. 13.5 million under the martyr’s quota. The house, located in Aslam Town, Rahim Yar Khan, was purchased and furnished with all facilities according to the family’s preference. Constable Zeeshan Khurram joined the police force in 2011 and served for 13 years. He embraced martyrdom in June this year during an encounter with dacoits in the area of Sheedani Police Station, Rahim Yar Khan. The surviving family members of Constable Zeeshan Khurram Shaheed include his mother, wife, two sons, and one daughter. Through the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab government released funds for the house for the martyr’s family. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid glowing tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Constable Zeeshan Khurram Shaheed, stating that he courageously faced dangerous criminals without concern for his own life. Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifice of its brave son. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that Punjab Police is the custodian of more than 1,650 brave martyrs like Constable Zeeshan Khurram Shaheed, and every effort is being made to address the needs of the martyrs’ families.
