Lahore:The Punjab Police’s campaign to evacuate illegal foreign residents is continuing rapidly, as a result of which 10,711 illegal foreign residents, including Afghans, have been deported from across the province, including Lahore. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that during the campaign, more than 11,250 illegal residents have been taken to holding centers, while 539 illegal residents are present at holding points. The Punjab Police spokesperson said that 05 holding centers have been established in Lahore and 46 across the province. IG Punjab said that the policy of evacuation of illegal residents is being followed under international laws and security is on high alert. The evacuation of all illegal residents will be ensured and human rights are being fully taken into account during the evacuation process. Dr. Usman Anwar directed CCPO Lahore, RPOs and DPOs to expedite the process of evacuation of illegal foreign immigrants. The Special Branch, CTD, security agencies, and intelligence-based information are being used to identify illegal foreigners.
