LAHORE:Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar is committed to the health welfare of his force and their families, in continuation of which over 2.1 million rupees in additional funds have been released for the treatment of police employees and their families. The spokesperson of Punjab Police provided details, that retired AD Riaz-ul-Haq was given 500,000 rupees for treatment of a fatal illness. ASI Ghulam Murtaza was granted 200,000 rupees for treatment of a heart condition. Junior Patrolling Officer Muhammad Irfan was issued 185,000 rupees for medical treatment. DSP Muhammad Idrees received 175,000 rupees for treatment. Constables Ashfaq Ahmad and Yasir Ali were given 150,000 rupees each for medical expenses. Retired SP Legal Syed Hassan Mahmood, Junior Clerk Shahid Nazir, Head Constables Ali Ahmad and Ghazi Nasir Ahmad were each issued 100,000 rupees for treatment purposes. Sub-Inspector Sajid Khan, ASI Azhar Mehmood, and Constables Waseem Javed and Sami Ullah were collectively issued 355,000 rupees for medical treatment. IG Punjab approved the release of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Usman Anwar said that under MOUs with various institutions, employees are also being provided the best treatment facilities.
