ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a diversion plan in view of Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s ongoing construction work, due to which the road from Serena Interchange underpass (Jinnah Square) to Korianwala Chowk will remain closed from 9:00 PM on July 7, 2025, to 8:00 AM the next morning.An ITP spokesperson told APP on Monday that commuters traveling to and from Bhara Kahu are advised to use the alternate route via Kashmir Chowk and Club Road during the closure.Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider said traffic police officials will be present at various points to assist and guide the public throughout the night.TO Zeeshan urged commuters to include an additional 20-minute margin in their travel plans to avoid any inconvenience.CTO said citizens may contact the ITP helpline 1915 in case of any problem or for traffic-related guidance.He added that ITP’s social media platforms and FM Radio 92.4 will continue to provide timely updates about traffic routes and diversions.CTO Zeeshan urged citizens to follow the issued guidelines and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement.
