Bani Gala police arrested 222 accused during last four months

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police PS Bani Gala arrested 222 outlaws including 29 proclaimed offenders and court absconders, involved in a series of criminal activities during the last four months, a Police Public Relations Officer said.
He said that, the PS Bani Gala police teams also recovered looted items worth Rs 19.72 million including mobile phones, cash, motorcycles and also recovered drugs, liquor and weapons from their possession. According to the details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had assigned special tasks to the zonal SP’s and Police teams to arrest those involved in heinous crime and recover the looted items.
While sharing the performance of Bani Gala police station for the last four months, SP city said that the PS Bani Gala police teams conducted a massive crackdown against the criminal elements and succeeded in apprehending 222 criminals during the last four months. Police teams also recovered motorbikes, mobile phones, hashish, heroin, weapons with ammunition from their possession. While29 proclaimed offenders were also arrested.
