ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police apprehended eight outlaws including four drug peddlers and recovered drugs, stolen valuables and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Secretariat police team arrested two drug peddlers namely Muhammad Nadeem and Hamza Mushtaq and recovered 1590 gram hashish, 625 gram heroin and 15 gram Ice from their possession.
Similarly, Bani Gala police team arrested an accused namely Saeed Alam and recovered stolen valuables from his possession. Likewise, Khanna police team arrested an accused namely Waris and recovered 1415 gram heroin from his possession.
Moreover, Koral Police arrested three accused namely Sahfique Ullah, Muhammad Tahir and Syed Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition and 1325 gram hashish from their possession. Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Shahid Sabbir and recovered two 44 bore rifles along with ammunition from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad said that, the safety of lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
