ISLAMABAD: Despite backlash from underprivileged and marginalized segments of society during the current wave of inflation, Government Officers are not wasting a single moment of using official resources for their personal gain. Likewise, Mr. Mehmood ul Hassan, Deputy Registrar, National Skills University recently caught using an official vehicle, KIA Picanto bearing number GAK-502 for personal use, which is a sheer violation of Government rules and regulations.
According to the videos available to this scribe, Mr. Hassan is clearly visible shopping the vegetables and fruits after office time at a local vegetable market.
Although, this is not the first instance the university is involved in any such discrepancy, since its inception as a degree-awarding institution in 2018, NSU is indulged in various controversies, including non-provision of salaries to employees, terminating contractual employees, and hiring of management’s blue-eyed professionals, resulting in failure to start even bachelor’s degree programs till now.
Upon inquiry, the deputy registrar, NSU switched off his phone whereas Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, NSU didn’t reply. It seems as if the Vice Chancellor has so much in his plate to do except be accountable for mismanagement in his institution.
This kind of misuse of official resources is one of the reasons that common folk is facing severe economic crisis, inflation and allied matters.
