Asif Zardari and Bilawal to visit Lahore today to launch election drive

LAHORE (DL News) – The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will launch its election drive in the capital of Punjab province for which former president Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will reach here on Wednesday.According to the party sources, Bilawal will reach here from Muzaffargarh. He will stay in the city for four days. He will preside over the Central Executive Committee meeting of the party on September 14 which will commence at 3 pm at Bilawal House here.

Invitations have been sent to all the members of the CEC to attend the meeting.

It is learnt that invitation has been extended to Latif Khosa and Aitzaz Ahsan also

The meeting will ponder over the country’s current political situation and devise plan for future.

It may be recalled that Bilawal requested Election Commission (ECP) to announce a date for general elections, not later than 90 days.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari vowed to defeat the anti-state elements in the upcoming elections. Addressing people at Syedwala Bypass, Bilawal recalled the challenges faced by the PPP during the previous elections, such as the martyrdom of Ms Benazir Bhutto and the abduction of Ali Haider Gilani, yet the party contested the polls.
