LAHORE (Beaver and Report) Gas Theft Crack Dawn: 58 more gas connections were disconnected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, 542 under-billing cases were registered/processed and fines of more than 1 crore 16 lakh were imposed under Sui Northern in different districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. During the ongoing crackdown against gas theft in the areas, 58 more gas connections were disconnected, 542 under-billing cases will be registered/processed. Fines of more than 1 crore 16 lakh have been imposed on the people involved in gas theft. Sui Northern Gas 04 domestic connections for illegal use of gas, 5 connections disconnected for use of compressor and 42 under-billing cases were registered/processed, amount of 22000 was also booked. Regional team in Bahawalpur taking action. 05 on the use of compressor, while 01 disconnection and 05 under-billing cases were processed/registered on illegal use and 4 thousand rupees were also booked for under-billing. Money was also booked. In Multan, the regional team processed 19 under-billing cases and booked 0.086 million, besides disconnection of 07 gas connections for illegal use and 02 gas connections for use of compressors. 01 FIRs were also registered by Sui Northern Gas against meter tampering, direct consumption of gas, illegal 06 disconnection gas theft in Peshawar and Kirk and fines of 9 lakh were imposed. In Gujjar-Anwala, the regional team took action on 04 cases of illegal use, while 05 cases of compressor disconnection and 108 under-billing cases were registered/processed, an amount of 0.719 million was booked. 216 under-billing cases were booked during operations on illegal use of gas in Gujarat. was registered/processed and an amount of 58000 was also booked. In Rawalpindi, 03 connections were disconnected while 02 under-booking cases were processed/registered. In Faisalabad, the regional team processed 05 meter tampering cases during crack dawn, while 01 and 120 under-billing cases were processed for illegal use of gas. And the team also booked an amount of more than 95 lakhs in under-billing cases during the operation.
