ISLAMABAD: In a statement issued Friday, Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Reza Amir Mughaddam, underscored the significance of the 12th parliamentary election in the Islamic Republic of Iran. He emphasized that this electoral process serves as a symbol of religious democracy, where citizens actively engage in shaping the legislative landscape by exercising their right to vote.
According to Mr. Mughaddam, the election represents a cornerstone of Iran’s democratic principles, wherein people participate in a free, fair, and comparative manner to elect their representatives. This democratic exercise is a testament to Iran’s commitment to fostering a political system that values the voice and participation of its citizens.

The Ambassador’s remarks echo sentiments expressed by the Supreme Leader of Iran, who endorsed the election as a demonstration of the country’s dedication to upholding the principles of democracy. The Supreme Leader emphasized the importance of ensuring a free, fair, competitive, sound, and safe electoral process, encouraging maximum participation from all segments of society and legal political parties.
