Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that over 26,000 departmental promotions have been granted over the past two years. He also announced that promotions to the rank of SP will soon be made in the Organized Crime Unit and Safe Cities Authority. IG Punjab further said that Punjab Police remains a strong force against terrorists, criminals, and anti-social elements, and additional steps will be taken to motivate facility and motivate the personnel serving in challenging areas, including Kacha.He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony at the Central Police Office where 59 officers promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector were conferred with their new ranks. A total of 122 ASIs from the Rawalpindi Region were promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspector. The promoted officers include those from the Motorway, Special Branch, Traffic Police, PHP, and Police College Sihala. The parents, children, and family members of the promoted Sub-Inspectors specially attended the ceremony.IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted officers, their families, and senior police officials. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment One Suleiman Sultan Rana, DIG Welfare Ghazi Mohammad Salahuddin, and CPO Multan, among other senior officers, also attended the ceremony and conferred the promotion ranks to the officers.
