Lahore:A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to honor 13 retired DSPs of Punjab Police. Retired DSPs met with IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. IG Punjab expressed gratitude to the retired DSPs for their invaluable services to the Police Department. The retired DSPs included Nasir Abbas, Kishwar Sultana, Muhammad Umar Farooq, Muhammad Qasim, Muhammad Azhar Saqib, Mazhar Iqbal, Javed Alam, Muhammad Sajjad Butt, Tariq Maqsood, Amjad Ali, Rizwan Qadir, Syed Abrar Haider, and Nadeem Abbas. On this occasion, IG Punjab addressed the retired officers, assuring them that their pension and other financial matters would be resolved promptly. He further said that Punjab Police is a family and retired officers and personnel will always remain a part of it. He emphasized that Punjab Police will continue to benefit from the experiences and suggestions of retired officers, and welfare efforts for both serving and retired officers and personnel will also continue. The retired officers expressed their gratitude to IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, for the honour and recognition extended by the department. The ceremony was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, Additional IG Welfare and Finance Imran Arshad, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Captain (Retired) Liaqat Ali Malik, AIG Discipline Amara Athar, AIG Finance, AIG Welfare, and other officers.
