islamabad:Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with senior officers, visited the Shahrah-e-Dastur, Margalla Avenue and Serena Chowk Interchange project and reviewed the work on the Margalla Road Secretariat to Bari Imam section. Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the MPO Directorate to immediately complete the construction work of the Secretariat to Bari Imam Margalla Road. He directed that green belts and median strips should be developed and flowers should be planted around this portion of Margalla Road and beautiful landscaping should also be done along the road. He directed that lane markings as well as modern and beautiful lights should be installed on the Margalla Road constructed from Secretariat to Bari Imam. Furthermore, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa also visited the Shahrah-e-Dastur and directed that uplifting work including beautification of the Shahrah-e-Dastur be done. He directed that the work on the installation of decorative lights on the Constitution Highway should be expedited. The CDA Chairman said that the installation of permanent lights will bring complete control over the expenses in terms of rent and installing lights on a permanent basis will not only reduce the expenses but will also increase the assets of the CDA. The CDA Chairman also visited the Serena Interchange project and directed that modern and beautiful LED lights should be installed on a permanent basis on the completed parts of the Serena Interchange project. He directed that the finishing of the Suhrawardy Underpass and its associated slip roads in the Serena Interchange project should be completed and opened for traffic. While briefing the CDA Chairman, it was informed that both the underpasses of the Srinagar Highway will be opened for traffic this month. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa also inspected the beautification and horticulture work around the project.
The CDA Chairman also reviewed the construction activities on all parts of the Jinnah Avenue Interchange project. While giving a briefing, the CDA Chairman was informed that the structural work of the flyover would be completed soon.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the best design of the landscaping work around the Jinnah Avenue Interchange project should be made and the landscaping work around the project should also be completed on time. He directed the consultants and resident engineers to ensure quality and speedy construction activities on the site at all times.
