Islamabad:The meeting on Sector Development, chaired by Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, discussed the progress, challenges and future strategies of the development works of the sectors in detail. The meeting was attended by CDA Board members, senior officers of Engineering and Estate Wing and officers of the concerned wings.The CDA Chairman was given a detailed briefing on the development activities of Sector C-14. The Chairman directed to ensure the completion of all development works including roads, drainage, sewerage, street lights in Sector C-14 by June and handover of plots to the residents. Emphasis was placed on providing all basic facilities to overseas Pakistanis, issuing demand notices for timely supply of utilities and expediting the payment process. Instructions were also issued to install modern solar street lights in the new sectors, beautify the areas through horticulture, landscaping and tree plantation.While briefing the meeting, it was informed that more than 50% of the road infrastructure work in Sector E-12 has been completed. The Chairman gave clear instructions to continue strict action against the encroachment mafia and not to make any concessions. The decision to hand over plots in phases after the completion of development works was ratified.Approval was given to allocate amenity plots for mosques, schools and hospitals in new sectors. It was ordered to share weekly drone footage of all development works on the official website of CDA and social media. It was directed to install information signboards on all plots and roads for the convenience of citizens.The Chairman CDA emphasized on expediting all development works and completing them by June. He said that immediate handover of plots to the owners should be ensured after payment of development charges. Instructions were issued to resolve all issues related to Built-Up Properties (BUP) on priority basis. The Chairman made it clear that no concessions will be made against illegal occupiers and obstacles in the construction of infrastructure should be removed immediately. He stressed that he would personally monitor the development activities of the new sectors so that quality facilities could be provided to the citizens.In conclusion, Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that better facilities for the citizens are our top priority. We are trying to ensure transparency and quality in the development works of the sectors and give the people their rights.
