IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar: Committed to the Best Medical Treatment for Police Employees’ Special Children

Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is determined to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the special children of police employees. In this regard, over 70 million rupees have been released this year for the treatment of special children of police employees stationed in Lahore and various other districts. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that this year, more than 13.2 million rupees have been allocated for 8 children undergoing cochlear implant surgeries. Additionally, over 995,000 rupees have been provided for the treatment of 11 children suffering from hearing impairments. A total of 70.65 million rupees have been allocated for 161 children affected by thalassemia, with a monthly medical allowance of 15,000 rupees per child. For 632 children suffering from cerebral palsy, a monthly amount of 10,000 rupees and a total of more than 37.4 million rupees have been provided. Moreover, 36 children with serious illnesses have been granted over 5.5 million rupees for their treatment. Eight children diagnosed with cancer and requiring bone marrow transplants have been given 4.85 million rupees. For 8 children undergoing major heart and kidney surgeries, a total of 1.245 million rupees has been provided. IG Punjab emphasized that continuous efforts are being made for the treatment and rehabilitation of the special children of police employees. Welfare initiatives are in place to make the lives of police employees’ special children easier and more dignified.
