Lahore:An important meeting regarding the performance of CCD Multan and Sahiwal regions was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. RPOs, DPOs, ROs, and DOs of CCD from Multan and Sahiwal regions participated via video link. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that IG Punjab reviewed the performance of CCD Multan and Sahiwal, while the ROs of CCD Multan and Sahiwal briefed about the targets achieved. IG Punjab said that lists of proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes have been provided to CCD officials. CCD should ensure excellent investigation, arrest of proclaimed offenders, challaning, and securing convictions. Additional IG CCD Sohail Zafar Chattha said that the budget for CCD for the new financial year is under preparation, and the procurement of vehicles is in the pipeline. Funds have been provided to ROs for the purchase of furniture and fixtures. IG Punjab ordered the immediate provision of laptops to CCD ROs. IG Punjab announced cash awards and commendation letters for RO Sahiwal Sajid Khokhar, RO Khanewal, DO Sahiwal, and DO Okara for good performance. IG Punjab said that CCD and district police, through excellent coordination, tasking, and efforts, should make Punjab crime-free. Performance will be reviewed and accountability ensured under the targets given to CCD. The curse of cattle theft must be eradicated in all rural areas including Okara, Pakpattan, and Sahiwal. Additional IG CCD Sohail Zafar Chattha, Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan, DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir, DIG CCD Waqas-ul-Hassan, DIG CCD Umar Farooq Salamat, and AIG Admin Asad Ijaz Malhi were present in the meeting.
