ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded the Punjab Police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for successfully thwarting a terror plot by Khawarij terrorists near the Punjab–Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border.Naqvi praised the courage and professionalism of the officers involved, stating that the police and CTD once again confronted the terrorists with bravery and determination.“I salute the courage of the police and CTD team who bravely faced the Khawarij terrorists,” said the Interior Minister.He specifically acknowledged the role of the Dera Ghazi Khan police and CTD, highlighting their history of notable successes against extremist elements in the region.“The brave sons of Dera Ghazi Khan Police and CTD have previously demonstrated exceptional valor in operations against Khawarij terrorists,” he said.Naqvi congratulated the security forces for crushing the malicious plans of the terrorists and emphasized his pride in the dedication and professionalism of Punjab’s security personnel.“I am proud of the brave and professional officers of Punjab Police and CTD,” he added.The Interior Minister reiterated the government’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism and eliminate the menace of extremism from the country.
