MULTAN:Top administration and police heads of Multan district jointly inspected routes of Muharram processions and visited Imambargah and mosques in the city on Friday to check security arrangements and facilities for the mourners.Deputy Commissioner Waseem Hamid Sindhu and City Police Officer Sadiq Ali Dogar visited Hazrat Ali Ibn-e-Musa Masjid at Suraj Miani besides inspecting the routes of Muharram processions, says an official release.SP Gulgasht Saifullah Gujjar, DSP Sadar Ilmuddin, other police officials besides notables of the area accompanied them on the occasion.CPO Multan checked the security arrangements at Imambargah and Majalis venues. SP Gulgasht gave a detailed briefing to the DC and CPO on security arrangements including monitoring by CCTV cameras, police deployment, and other arrangements.
DC checked the security arrangement details minutely and observed that keeping law and order situation under control was top priority of the administration and police. CPO Multan asked all the officers and officials deployed on security duty to remain alert throughout the Muharram.
License holders and administrators of Majalis promised to cooperate with police and administration.
