Since the establishment of the CCD, a noticeable reduction in crime has been recorded across Lahore and the wider province.Additional IG Sohail Zafar Chattha briefed the probationary ASPs on the objectives, human resource structure, operational methods, and achievements of the CCD. He described the department as a specialized unit of highly professional, experienced, and crime-fighting officers within Punjab Police. Under the Safe Punjab vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the department is playing a pivotal role in combating serious crimes.CCD has been equipped with a centralized criminal database, advanced surveillance and monitoring systems, and modern technology and equipment.
