Lahore:Punjab Police have intensified search, sweep, and combing operations across the province, including Lahore. During the last 24 hours, 534 combing operations were conducted, over 20,122 suspected individuals were checked, and 54 suspicious persons were taken into custody. Punjab Police spokesperson, while briefing the details, said that 31 search and sweep operations were conducted. More than 3,527 individuals were interrogated, and 3 suspected persons were taken into custody. A total of 243 proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes, 105 absconders from courts, and 58 habitual offenders were also arrested. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from criminals and suspected individuals. During actions against criminals, 7 offenders were brought to justice, 7 were injured, and 6 were arrested. Inspector General of Punjab said that search, sweep, and combing operations will continue to hold accountable anti-national and criminal elements.
