Cabinet okays deployment of Army in all provinces for rescue operations

ISLAMABAD, Aug 26 (NNI): The federal cabinet has approved the deployment of army troops under Article 245 of the Constitution in all provinces for participating in rescue operations in rains and flood-affected areas.
The governments of four provinces including Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh requested the federal government to deploy army contingents in their flood-hit districts for dealing with the national disaster.
The army will participate in the relief operations along with the provincial governments and the administration
The army services will be given to rehabilitate the infrastructure and relocate the victims to the camps. The federal cabinet approved the deployment of the army through a circular. NNI
