ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have intensified security across sensitive areas of the federal capital, including the Diplomatic Enclave and other high-security zones, with heavy contingents deployed to maintain law and order. An official told APP on Monday that SSP Security Captain (retd) Zeeshan Haider, who also heads Diplomatic Security, personally reviewed security deployments in and around the Red Zone, Diplomatic Enclave, and adjoining areas. He directed officers to remain fully alert and to ensure foolproof arrangements.SSP emphasized that Islamabad Police are fully prepared to deal with any untoward incident and will not allow miscreants or hostile elements to disturb peace. “The safety of citizens, public property, and diplomatic missions is our foremost responsibility,” SSP Zeeshan stressed
Police officials said enhanced patrolling has been ordered around embassies, consulates, and other sensitive facilities. Security monitoring is also being carried out through Safe City cameras and modern surveillance tools.SSP Zeeshan added that officers must strictly follow professional ethics, remain vigilant, and coordinate closely to secure all sensitive installations. He reaffirmed that ensuring peace and protecting both citizens and diplomatic personnel remains the top priority of Islamabad Capital Police.
