Chairman Randhawa said Pakistan greatly values its “brotherly relations” with Lebanon and expressed the desire to further solidify the sister city relationship between Islamabad and Beirut. The Lebanese Ambassador commended the CDA’s ongoing efforts to maintain Islamabad’s environment and infrastructure, describing the capital as “an extraordinarily green and naturally beautiful city.”“The beauty, greenery and cleanliness of Islamabad are remarkably impressive,” Ambassador Issa observed.Randhawa highlighted that Islamabad, established in 1960 under a comprehensive master plan, continues to evolve as a modern, well-planned city.He noted that the Margalla Hills add to its natural charm and that continuous efforts are under way to make the capital even greener and more sustainable. He also revealed that plans were being considered to relocate all diplomatic missions to the Diplomatic Enclave, where the CDA was working to improve infrastructure, recreational spaces and sports facilities as part of a broader beautification and upgradation initiative. The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening city-level cooperation, cultural exchanges, and exploring new areas of collaboration between Islamabad and Beirut.
