DERA GHAZI KHAN,:The Pink Van Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit — a first-of-its-kind initiative in the district — was inaugurated at Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to deliver government services at citizens’doorsteps.Regional Police Officer Captain (R) Sajjad Hasan Khan inaugurated the facility in the presence of District Police Officer Captain (retd) Tariq Walayat, District Traffic Officer DSP Irfan Ashraf, Registrar Dr. Muhammad Asif, Professor Dr. Arshad Munir, faculty members, students, and citizens.RPO Sajjad Hasan Khan said the establishment of the Pink Van marks a revolutionary step toward citizen-friendly policing, ensuring easy and dignified access to services, particularly for women. Trained female police officers have been deployed to provide a safe and respectful environment for applicants.DPO Tariq Walayat added that the mobile unit offers multiple services including FIR registration, issuance and renewal of driving licenses, character certificates, and other facilities available at Police Khidmat Centers. The initiative will benefit students, working women, and residents of remote areas.
