Lahore:Punjab Police remains committed to its mission of providing housing for the families of its martyrs. The family of ASI Nazir Ahmed, who sacrificed his life in the line of duty, has been provided with a house valued at Rs. 17.5 million. According to a spokesperson of Punjab Police, at the request of the martyr’s family, the house was purchased in a private housing society in the Mohlanwal area of Lahore. Through the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Government of Punjab released funds for the martyr’s family home. It is worth noting that ASI Nazir Ahmed was martyred in 2024 during a raid when he was shot by a notorious criminal. The martyr is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the eternal sacrifice of ASI Nazir Ahmed, stating that he laid down his life in the line of duty without regard for his own safety. IG Punjab affirmed that Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifice of this brave officer. He further said that Punjab Police is the custodian of more than 1,700 martyrs like ASI Nazir Ahmed. The welfare of martyrs’ families remains the foremost priority of Punjab Police.
