RAWALPINDI:City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani on Wednesday held open courts at the City Traffic Police Headquarters and the Westridge Police Station to hear public complaints and issue immediate directions for their resolution.The Chief Traffic Officer, Superintendent of Police (SP) Potohar, senior traffic officials, the SDPO (Cantonment), traffic circle DSPs, Cantonment Circle SHOs and investigation officers were present on the occasion, a police spokesman said.A large number of citizens, including members of civil society and traders’ associations, attended the sessions to highlight issues related to policing, traffic management and service delivery.The CPO instructed officers to ensure timely disposal of complaints received at police stations, emphasising that service delivery, merit and the rule of law would be strictly upheld. Protecting citizens’ life and property, he added, remained the police’s foremost responsibility.CPO Hamdani also inspected the under-construction building of the Westridge Police Station and directed the relevant officers to complete the remaining work without delay.
