27th Annual General Meeting of Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) Held

LAHORE, Aug 27 (NNI): The top leadership of Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Saturday instructed its leaders and activists to be careful and avoid arrest in case of police raids.
The Punjab police so far raided the residences of at least a dozen PML-N MPAs in several cities of Punjab after warrants were issued for their arrest for their alleged involvement in the violence witnessed in the Punjab Assembly during the chief minister’s election on April 16.
However, the Punjab police party did not succeed in arresting any party worker. It is believed that the lawmakers managed to evade police and flee to Islamabad or out of the country.
Taking further precautionary measures, the PML-N leaders are guided to stay away from their residences in order to avoid any possible arrest.
The party also directed its leaders and workers to install CCTV cameras at their residences and offices and if the police raid for arresting them, CCTV footage of the police personnel should be made.
They are further directed that if there is no CCTV camera, the video of the police raid party must be made with a mobile phone.
All leaders and workers should provide their family members with contact numbers of the party’s legal team and in case of arrest of leaders and workers, immediately inform the legal team.
It is pertinent that arrest warrants are issued for Atta Tarar, Rana Mashhood, Awais Leghari, Mirza Javed, Saif ul Malook Khokhar, Peer Khizer Hayat Shah, Raja Sagheer Ahmed, Mian Abdul Rauf, Pir Muhammad Ashraf Rasool, Bilal Farooq Tarar, Rana Mannan Khan and others. The provincial government had also acted against those involved in the May 25 violence during PTI’s long march. NNI
