ISLAMABAD:Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid rich tribute to Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed, the hero of the Hilli front, who wrote an unforgettable chapter of bravery and sacrifice in the defence of the nation.Mohsin Naqvi said the soil of Hilli still bears witness to the unmatched courage and valour of Major Muhammad Akram.“Major Akram stood like an unbreakable wall against the enemy’s onslaught and crushed their malicious ambitions,” he added.Highlighting his heroism, the minister said that despite intense shelling and the enemy’s advancing forces, Major Akram remained steadfast and demonstrated extraordinary bravery.“He moved from trench to trench to uplift the morale of his soldiers—an act that ensured the defence of Hilli remained unbroken,” Naqvi noted.He said the Battle of Hilli proves that even with limited resources, strong resolve, unshakeable faith, and firm determination can stop the enemy in its tracks. “The spirit of martyrdom teaches us that perseverance in moments of hardship is the real strength.”Naqvi further stated that Major Muhammad Akram’s struggle is a reminder that faith, duty, and resolve can alter the outcome of any battle. “Brave sons like Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed are the pride and honour of Pakistan,” he asserted.Paying homage to the martyrs, the minister said that the defence of the motherland has been made possible by the sacrifices and valour of the nation’s heroes. “The courage and sacrifices of our martyrs are the greatest strength of the nation,” he added.
