ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a traffic diversion plan from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Thursday on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway to ensure smooth traffic flow during the specified hours.An ITP official told APP that traffic diversions will be enforced at different points on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway, which may cause temporary inconvenience to commuters.Alternative routes advised:The motorists traveling from Rawat towards the Expressway are advised to use Rawalpindi–Peshawar Road and the road users coming from IJP Road towards the Expressway should use inner-city service roads. Similarly the motorists traveling from Srinagar Highway towards the Expressway are also advised to use inner-city service roads to avoid delays.The official advised citizens to plan their journeys in advance and leave with an additional 20 to 25 minutes to reach their destinations on time.He added that ITP officers will remain deployed on roads to facilitate commuters and ensure smooth traffic management during the diversion period.
