Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that spacious funeral halls, ablution rooms, public toilets, adequate parking, hearse and ambulance facilities, as well as CCTV surveillance facilities should be provided in the model cemeteries. He directed that a website and web portal of the model cemetery be created so that the relatives, especially overseas Pakistanis, can monitor the graves of their loved ones. In the CDA board meeting, it was decided to adopt the OGRA and government policy regarding LPG storage and filling plants in the federal capital Islamabad and the changes made in them from time to time. The meeting also decided to establish a committee to conduct a detailed review of the amendments to the ICT Building Control Regulations 2023. Amendments related to the promotion of green infrastructure, rooftop/vertical gardening and landscaping in the Islamabad Building Regulations 2023 were also approved in the eighteenth meeting of the CDA board. These amendments will help promote urban gardening in Islamabad as well as align construction with modern needs and requirements.
