LAHOREBy Qasim Ali:Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given a new task to the police for 2026, instructions have been issued to make police stations centers of public safety.The Punjab government’s people-friendly, service delivery-based policing model will be implemented, improving the experience of citizens will be the central point of police reforms.Likewise, the performance of SHOs will be evaluated based on citizen feedback. In addition, immediate action will be taken against delays, misbehavior or misuse of powers in police stations.It has been further decided to link One Five and Patrol Response with the performance of police stations, listening to, registering and timely action will be ensured for every citizen’s complaint.
