LAHORE:The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has awarded six National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) Research Grants 2026, totaling Rs 57 million, to faculty members of the Punjab University.According to a PU spokesperson, the grant recipients include Dr Nayab Iftikhar from the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences; Dr Kausar Malik, Dr. Ayesha Latif, and Dr. Saba Tasneem from the Faculty of Life Sciences; and Dr. Ahsan Sharif and Dr Fauzia Iqbal from the Faculty of Sciences.The vice chancellor of the University of the Punjab Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, congratulated the award-winning faculty members, appreciating their research contributions and academic excellence, and expressed confidence that these projects would play a vital role in promoting innovation, knowledge creation, and research development across their respective disciplines.
