LAHORE:Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Capt. retd) Muhammad Ali Zia on Wednesday presided over an awareness session at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Lahore aimed at educating students and faculty about the role of FIA in combating white  collar crimes and addressing emerging challenges.Speaking on the occasion,Ali Zia highlighted the importance of awareness and vigilance in preventing such offenses, stressing that informed citizens play a key role in curbing financial and cyber crimes.Participants were briefed on common tactics used by criminals, enabling them to better recognize and avoid potential threats.He reiterated FIA’s commitment to safeguarding citizens and protecting national interests through proactive measures, effective enforcement and enhanced public engagement.An interactive question and answer session was also held,during which participants actively engaged with the director and sought guidance on safety measures and reporting mechanisms.According to the FIA spokesperson,the session concluded with a strong emphasis on collaboration between institutions and law enforcement agencies to counter white collar crimes effectively.
