Hyderabad: Provincial Minister for Education and Culture Syed Sardar Ali Shah has directed all the district officers of the Education Department to appoint all the successful candidates for the posts of GESTs and PSTs by October 15, 2022 , otherwise strict action will be taken. He further said that to improve the teaching system in Sindh, it is necessary to complete the appointment process – he expressed anger at the officers who were slow in the appointment process. He said that even though the policy has been laid down, it is surprising that why the process of recruitment is not completed so far. He said that his purpose of coming Hyderabad today iswas to review the progress in recruitment process. He said that the recruitment process of teachers has been completed in many districts of Sindh, but in the districts where this process is delayed, then there All possible steps should be taken to solve the problems faced because for the above mentioned posts a More than a year has passed since the examinations and in this regard the Director Education also needs to play its effective role – the provincial minister said that after the appointment of the teachers, the required formalities for issuing the salaries should be completed soon. He further directed officers concerned that in areas where teachers are needed, appointments should be made on a priority basis – Syed Sardar Ali Shah said that temporary schools should be established in tent cities as an alternative to the schools that came under water after the flood, and I myself through video call will supervise these schools The provincial minister also directed the officials of the education department to conduct a special inquiry to investigate the fake recruitments. – The provincial minister asked the district administration across Sindh to remove relief camps from schools and transfer the victims to tent settlements so that children’s education is not affected. said that the responsibility of the furniture in the schools in which the relief camps have been built is the responsibility of the respective headmaster – the provincial minister said that in the areas where the school buildings are under water or have been damaged due to rains, in this regard With the help of the district administration, the work will be started by estimating the losses of the schools – In the meeting, Provincial Secretary Education Ghulam Akbar Leghari directed all the directors to hold a weekly meeting to appoint the successful candidates and submit a report on the same. – While briefing the meeting, Director General Human Resources Zameer Khosa said that a total of 265,282 candidates participated in the examinations for 17,423 posts of junior elementary school teachers, out of which 51,785 candidates were successful and so far 12 795 thousand offer orders have been issued while appointment orders have been issued for the appointment of 10 thousand 454 candidates while still 4 thousand 628 posts are left vacant – he said that 2 lakh 97 thousand 487 candidates have participated in the examinations for 39 thousand 849 posts of primary school teacher. Out of which 84 thousand 80 candidates have passed and offer orders have been issued to 24 thousand 951 candidates while appointment orders will also be issued to 21 thousand 351 candidates – he said that 14 thousand 898 primary school teacher posts are still vacant – The recruitment process is still pending – more than 90% of the recruitments have been completed in many districts of Sindh while the work is going on for the remaining posts – Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Nadeer Rehman Memon, besides Directors Education, District Education Officers of all districts were present in the meeting. Primary and secondary were also present. Speaking to the media later, the provincial minister said that after filling 12,000 posts of JEST and 25,000 posts of PSTs in the education department, another 14,000 posts were left vacant due to retirements from the department and other vacancies. The recruitment process will be started during the year – Due to the flood situation, 22 thousand schools have been affected across Sindh, in which the buildings of 17 thousand schools have been completely or partially damaged while 5 thousand schools have been displaced. Due to the impact of the teaching process, temporary schools are being set up to keep the teaching process operational so that the 2.8 lakh affected children can continue to receive education.
