Islamabad: A dignified farewell ceremony was held on the occasion of the retirement of SP Rukhsar Mehdi, a senior police officer who served in the police for a long time. The ceremony was attended by Inspector General Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, Deputy Inspector General Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DG Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar and other senior officers and colleagues. On this occasion, SP Rukhsar Mehdi was presented with commemorative gifts and his valuable services were paid rich tribute. Addressing the ceremony, IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi said: “SP Rukhsar Mehdi’s professional services and character are an example for the police force. His sincerity, honesty and passion for public service will always be remembered.” DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq also appreciated his services and said that Rukhsar Mehdi not only enhanced the prestige of the police service in his career but also played a significant role in solving the problems of the citizens. Retired SP Rukhsar Mehdi expressed his impressions on the occasion and said that the time spent with the Islamabad Police is a valuable asset of his life, and he will continue to play his role for the betterment of the society in the future. The ceremony ended with prayers and best wishes, where fellow officers prayed for a bright future and a happy life for SP Rukhsar Mehdi.
