Lahore: Anti Corruption Establishment Punjab has arrested Khushi Muhammad, the owner of a housing society ” Theme Park ” built on river land. Accused Khushi Muhammad build an illegal housing scheme in the name of “Theme park “on river Ravi land and made residential plots on 12,000 kanals of river land inside the river and sold them to innocent citizens by fraud. The accused had not built the society as per law and even couldn’t establish any kind of sewage system in the fake housing scheme and since the entire area was inside the river, therefore ,all the houses in the illegal housing scheme were submerged in flood water in the recent floods. For this purpose, Anti-Corruption has also sought records of all illegal housing schemes established in the bed of Ravi river from RUDA and LDA so that action could be taken against those housing schemes as per the law. Furthermore,
the illegal housing society called “Theme Park ” built in the Ravi River was not approved by the relevant developments . According to spokesperson, keeping in mind public complaints,
Anti-Corruption has decided to take strict action against all such illegal housing schemes which are established in river land. According to Spokesperson, the construction of housing societies on river land cannot be permitted at all and indiscriminate action will be taken against all already established illegal housing schemes.
