Lahore:Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, continues to take practical measures for the welfare and rehabilitation of police employees’ special children. In continuation of these efforts, funds amounting to Rs. 3.3 million have been released for police employees’ children suffering from cerebral palsy or mental challenges. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 110 special children of police employees have been provided Rs. 30,000 each. For the welfare of children suffering from cerebral palsy, a monthly grant of Rs. 10,000 per child is being provided. During the current year, a total of Rs. 6.871 million has been distributed among these special children. Dr. Usman Anwar said that comprehensive measures are being taken for the treatment, care, and rehabilitation of the special children of police employees. He further said that welfare initiatives are being expanded to make the lives of these special children easier, dignified, and better.
