He sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to PIMS where he was pronounced dead. The incident has shocked the police department. SP Adeel was a senior and experienced officer. Senior police officials reached the spot to supervise the ongoing investigation. The exact sequence of events and the motive behind the apparent suicide remain unclear. Police teams immediately cordoned off the area around the hotel to allow investigators and forensic teams to gather evidence.Investigators are collecting details from witnesses, including the hotel staff and nearby security personnel, and are reviewing CCTV installed in the vicinity. The weapon used in the incident has been seized, and forensic experts are examining ballistic evidence to confirm the sequence of events. According to official sources, SP Akbar, originally from Gujrat District, was a member of the 46th Common of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) and was notably the top performer of his batch in the CSS examination.
