ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police PS Bhara Kahu arrested 229 outlaws including 41 proclaimed offenders and court absconders, involved in a series of criminal activities during the last four months, a police public relations Officer said
He said that, the PS Bhara Kahu police teams also recovered looted items worth Rs 24.78 million including mobile phones, cash, motorcycles and also recovered drugs, liquor and weapons from their possession.
According to the details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had assigned special tasks to the zonal SP’s and Police teams to arrest those involved in heinous crime and recover the looted items.
While sharing the performance of Bhara Kahu police stations for the last four month, SP City said that the PS Bhara Kahu police teams conducted a massive crackdown against the criminal elements and succeeded in apprehending 229 criminals during the last four months. Police teams also recovered motorbikes, mobile phones, 28,480 grams hashish,19,143 grams heroin, and 19 pistols, one rifle with ammunition from their possession. While 41 proclaimed offenders were also arrested.
Investigations on 135 cases were also completed and their challan were submitted in relevant courts. During this period Islamabad capital police also intensified crackdown against professional baggers and arrested 76 beggars and handlers.
