TAXILA: Armed bandits equipped with different weapons on loose in the urban as well as rural areas of twin cities of Taxila and Wah as they strike with impunity in the residential and commercial areas depriving people of cash, gold ornaments and other valuables while police seems in deep slumber. In the first incident a bakery owner was looted in a daylight robbery incident in Dhabian area on Khanpur road by the three armed bandits equipped with different weapons and riding on a motorcycle. They also looted the marble shop of Abdullah Khan and deprived him of cash and cell phones. The same outlaws also strike in Rehbar Colony area in the same police station limits and looted a petrol agency and general store depriving the shopkeepers from cash and valuables and fled successfully with looted booty. Moreover, two armed bandits equipped with different weapons derived Umer Javaid from cash worth Rs 0.3 million in Musheerabad area when he was taking cash from his shop to his house in the limits of Wah Saddar Police station. Separately, burglars broke into the house of Syed Hassan Ali Shah in Pour area in the limits of Taxila Police station and fled with looted booty including cash worth Rs 0.9 million and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.80 million. Respective police registered separate cases and launched further investigation.
