Lahore:An important meeting regarding the affairs of the Crime Control Department was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. Additional IG CCD Sohail Zafar Chattha, DIGs CCD Waqas ul Hassan, Umar Farooq Salamat, DIG Admin Lahore Imran Kishwar, DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran, DIG Investigation Lahore Zeeshan Haider, SSP Investigation Lahore Muhammad Naveed, and senior officers of CCD Lahore attended the meeting. RPO, CPO Faisalabad, relevant DPOs, RO Faisalabad, and CCD DOs participated via video link. IG Punjab reviewed the available resources and performance of CCD Lahore and Faisalabad. Senior officers of CCD Lahore and Faisalabad briefed on the achieved targets.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, IG Punjab appreciated the officers of CCD Lahore for achieving the targets related to the suppression of heinous crimes. IG Punjab instructed the RPO and CPO Faisalabad to ensure the provision of office space for CCD. IG Punjab remarked that excellent coordination exists between Lahore Police and CCD for the elimination of heinous crimes. Lahore Police has provided CCD with high-quality human resources, transport, offices, and logistics.
IG Punjab directed CCD to further accelerate efforts for the arrest of high-profile proclaimed offenders, motorcycle theft gangs, and the recovery of missing children and women. Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan, Additional IG Investigation, DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir, AIG Operations Abdul Rahim Shirazi and AIG Admin Asad Ijaz Malhi also attended the meeting.
