ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Kirpa Police Station and Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) teams successfully arrested a suspect wanted in a recent murder case.An official told APP on Monday that a citizen had filed a complaint at the Kirpa Police Station stating that the accused, Zahid, attacked Saeed Muhammad with a sharp weapon, critically injuring him. The victim later succumbed to his injuries.Upon receiving the complaint, the police registered FIR No. 366 and initiated an investigation. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq took strict notice of the incident and issued immediate directions to ensure the arrest of the perpetrator.Following these directives, the Kirpa and Homicide Unit teams used modern scientific and technical methods to trace and apprehend the accused involved in the heinous act. The suspect Zahid is currently under investigation.DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that the ICT Police are conducting indiscriminate actions against those involved in murder, violence, and other serious crimes. He emphasized that all culprits would face strict legal consequences and that cases will be pursued with solid evidence to ensure convictions in court.
