Burning Feet, Fading Dreams: How Climate Change is Stealing Education from Cholistan’s Daughters

Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my deep concern about the recent devastating natural disasters, especially floods, in Pakistan. Every year, heavy rains make the rivers spill over, destroying houses, crops, and roads. Many people lose their dear ones, animals, and belongings to this havoc. The recent floods in Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have only served to underline how unprepared we still are to face such disasters. Climate change and poor drainage systems make the situation even worse.
Strict steps should be taken by the government to control this situation. Proper dams, improved drainage systems, and more trees can be of great help in minimizing the destruction caused by floods. Safety precautions and early warnings should be known to the people also. If all of us work together and stay prepared, we can save many lives and also save our country from such calamities in the future.
Aimen Abid,
Rawalpindi.
