RAWALPINDI: In a swift response to a disturbing incident, the City Police have arrested man involved in harassing a woman within the jurisdiction of City Police Station here Sunday.The action came after a video of the incident surfaced on social media.According to police spokesman, City Police registered a case under relevant sections of the law and apprehended the offender soon after the video went viral. The individual was identified and taken into custody following a swift investigation.City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has taken notice of the incident and directed strict legal action. He stated that the offender will be presented in court with solid evidence to ensure exemplary punishment.The CPO emphasized that crimes against women are intolerable and warned that no offender, regardless of their position or influence, will escape the law. He reaffirmed the department’s zero-tolerance policy against such offences, adding that protecting the lives and dignity of citizens is the police’s foremost duty.
